Due to the popularity of this restaurant we had to wait nearly half an hour to be seated but the high standard of our meal made that wait worthwhile. We will book next time!

It's a typical Chinatown Chinese restaurant. The food is better than the surroundings and this is by far more inviting than others in Chinatown. Fair price and often busy. Always a good sign.

Recommendation
Order a starter only - see if quality of service and food sufficient to warrant ordering main course. Read on to see why.

If you can put up with the surly staff, you might get lovely or bland food.
I,ve been there a few times at different times of day. Lunch times u can get in without reservation. Evening probably reserve.
Ribs in paper parcel v good. Other than that everything else same as local takeaway + £2-4 with the bonus of wholesale indifference from the staff.
I think they forget, it might be diners only meal out in a while. And other people are sensitive to that kind of thing and it makes them feel uncomfortable. I don't really care, except my partner is sensitive, so after the starter, we went across the road to Red Hot by the theatre.

Genuinely boring food.

Most of the food we had for our large party would be sub par if it came from a budget takeaway; unfortunately this is a mid priced restaurant with mains in the range of £9-11 and sides costing £4-5 which would be fine but the sides are usually 3 very small from frozen pieces.
The seafood was bland and clearly from frozen as were the vegetarian dishes.

The staff, can only be described as surly. When we asked for recommendations their response was "I don't know you're the one that's paying".

We ordered more drinks which didn't come and had to be re ordered, and then food arrived and as we were eating it was taken away as we were told that the dish had been served too large.

Can't really see what other people enjoyed about this place. I wish it had been good as this was a special occasion but unfortunately it was nothing but disappointing.

The toilets aren't great either, they had been cleaned, but it was probably many, many days ago.

Not good.
