Lovely comfortable big bed, and enormous TV in our room, but our room which unfortunately stank of perfume. Bedside table only on one side of bed, which was awkward. Very nice clean bathroom. It would be helpful if they pointed out at check in that the first light switch in room is a master switch for all the electric sockets. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, both well cooked and nicely presented, the tea was awful even with an extra tea bag in pot it was like dishwater, coffee was just filter coffee. The staff were friendly and helpful.

After 6 weeks of looking forward to go for our spa experience with my sister to celebrate my birthday we finally went to the village hotel and we were treated like nothing but invaders terrorists and low lives with their in experienced staff. To think that we are nothing but professionals who work with the public as well I never thought a hotel with such prestige would employ staff that has no clue what so ever in customer care actually shouting at me after I made concerns about my spa treatment and at the end cancelling my treatment without communicating it to me with no willingness to refund it as well. A girl at the reception JANE actually showing her pure frustration over our concerns as customers I never again would even pass through this hotel and will make sure I speak my honest truth if anyone thinking of using this hotel for any reason whatsoever think twice before you go to this place because what I deemed as the best treat for my 30th birthday turned out to be the worst experience ever and to think the actual spa experience ended up not happening it frustrates me even more

The hotel itself is lovely, comfy room, pool and facilities great, all of it's clean but it seems badly managed which makes what could've been a great stay a bad experience. On my partners birthday housekeeping woke us up at 8.30 by walking in the room. No soap in the bathroom, nowhere to hang a towel, no coffee (except decaff) and the coffee machine won't give hot water without a pod so we couldn't use our own coffee. I asked for a kettle but housekeeping didn't deliver it. £50 was debited from my account, they tell me that was in error, still waiting for a refund. It feels like there are gaps in communication. If reception talk to housekeeping and they talk to their staff it would be a much better experience. I'm sure I'm not on my own in thinking that August is way too early to have a Christmas tree in the foyer! Would visit again if the management changes

Stayed overnight in a standard double room, which was comfy and well equipped. Only problem was that it was a bit warm. The swimming pool and spa facilities were very good. The pool is large but be aware that they may have aquafit classes on too. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff. If booking through a third party website, check to see if swimming and spa is included. They wanted to charge an extra £5.

Beautiful rooms. Clean. All you could want in your room and more. Beds lovely to sleep in. Can't honestly remember when I last slept so well!!!! Staff brilliant and helpful. Would love to stay again....i will if in the area again. Think you to all the staff
