The food and venue were lovely, with us having the Monday madness buffet. However, the service which started off pleasant went downhill towards the end of the meal.

The portion sizes were large, with a small table for two barely being big enough for everything. However, when we were full and asked if we could take some home (they do takeaway!) we were told by Sunshine that they don't do that. We then noticed the insulating bags on the sideboard.

We were also made to feel rushed and communication was poor. There was no continuation of service with several members of staff tending to the table, and one looking to clear the table whilst we were still eating.

Otherwise, the food was beautiful and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is in a nice location.

Food is delicious and very filling. Mondays are awesome as they have unlimited servings on whether you choose BBQ style cooked food or deep fried. Only problem is that food is slightly pricey. Staff are also friendly. Environment has a good vibe.

Delicious and Authentic Filipino Food!

Great prices to go with generous serving sizes. They also seem to put a lot of focus on customer service with very attentive waiting staff.

The only fault that I can think of is that it's not closer to me!

Fantastic place to introduce your friends to Filipino Cuisine :)

Kusina is a great restaurant - it's unassuming and the staff are really genuinely friendly.

I've never seen Filipino food available at any other Canberra restaurant - it's a really fantastic cuisine. Very interesting dishes - I really like the crispy chicken wings with banana ketchup. Amazing.

Some dishes can be a bit heavy, but definitely no worse than something like Chinese (not that they're directly comparable). There's plenty of fresh options to balance it out.

Suggest you try the 'boodle feast' if you're a fan - all you can eat (and it's not just some crappy buffet).

I've been wanting to try Kusina for a while now. Our group of four ordered the 'feed me' option, which consisted of pork skewers, soft shell crab, chicken curry, crispy pork hock, cucumber salad and rice. Everything was delicious, so fresh and flavourful! The food came very quickly after ordering and staff were efficient and friendly. We're already looking forward to our next meal at Kusina.
