Day 2: Addis Ababa City tour
Addis Ababa is
the third highest capital
of the world on an altitude
of 2300-2500 m. with a pleasant climate

of green with eucalyptus trees covered mountains.

Visit Entoto Mountains, with very nice view over
the capital,

Day 3: Drive
to Jimma
In
the morning after breakfast, you will drive
to Jimma (345 Km from Addis). On
the way you will pass through beautiful landscapes as you drive through
the Gibe River Valley. Later, you can visit Jimma Museum
and King Abba Jiffar
Place. You will have dinner
and spend
the night at
the hotel.
Day 4: Drive
to Bonga
After breakfast you drive
to Bonga (125 Kms from Jimma)
the Birth Place of Coffee.
and upon arrival at Bonga, you will visit
to a traditional
Kaffa house
and learn about
the culture
of the Kaffa people. You will have lunch at Bonga. After having lunch drive
to Ellelo, Adiyo falls,
the Dadiben
and Gora Hot spring. You will have dinner
and spend
the night at
the hotel.
Day 5: Trek
to Makira
An early morning trek will take you
to Makira,
the Place where
Coffee Arabica was discovered. En route visit
the ancient Adaracha Medhane Alem church
and the Gurguto natural Bridge. You will have dinner
and spend
the night at
the hotel.
Day 6: Drive
to Bebeka
Pack an overnight bag
and head out
to Mizan Tefari
and the Bebeke
Coffee Plantation (30k from Mizan Tefari). Bebeka
Coffee Plantation covers some 6, 000 hectares
and is
the largest
and oldest
Coffee Plantation in Ethiopia. There will be a
Tour of the plantation which will include
the organic
Coffee plantation
and the experimental spice
and fruit plantations. Beehives have been established
and the honey is highly recommended. Overnight Guesthouse.
Day 7: One more day exploring
Coffee day at Bebeka

In
the morning after having breakfast explore
the Coffee plantation from seedling
to Coffee Bean.
Taste the Ethiopian
Coffee Arabic at Bebeka. Stay
the day in Bebeka. Overnight Guesthouse.
Day 8: Drive back
to Jimma
In
the morning after breakfast we drive back
to Jimma. Depending on arrival we can continue a visit
to the Jimma attractions. Visit
the historical palace
of Sultan Abba Jifar (1853 – 1925) that is standing at Jiren. Still stands with its colourful architectural beauty.
and continue your visit
to Jimma museum that displays most
of the historical materials
of King Abba Jifar, his kingdom
and cultural objects
of the local Oromo people
and that
of the other ethnic groups around
Kaffa. Overnight stay in Jimma.
Day 9: Drive
to Wolayta Sodo
In
the morning after breakfast, you will drive
to Wolayta Sodo (345 Km from Bonga). On
the way you will pass through beautiful landscapes
of the Dawro Zone. You will notice also
the defense wall
of Dawro people (
the wall is called
the wall
of King Halala (or Halala kela) a long historical defensive wall constructed during
the period
of king Keti Halala in between 1764-1789.

the outside invaders, this stone rampart covers about 170 km in length). You will arrive in Wolayta Sodo late afternoon

Day 10: Drive
to Aregash Lodge
In
the morning after breakfast, first you will visit
the Wolayta Sodo Museum
and then you will drive
to Aregash Lodge (205 Km from Addis). On
the way you will pass through
the scenic & beautiful landscapes as you drive through
the Wolayta, Hadiya, Kambat
and Alaba tribe. Lunch in Awassa (Hawassa) continue drive
to Aregash Lodge. You will have dinner
and spend
the night at
the Aregash lodge.
Day 11: Day trip
to Aleta Wondo
and Yirega Chief (Yirga Cheffe)

the morning after breakfast, you will drive
to Alet Wondo (25 Km from Aregash Lodge)
to visit
the Wottona Boltuma
Coffee Cooperative. Drive
to Dilla for lunch
and continue your drive
to Yirega Chief (Yirga Cheffe) & visit
the Coffee cooperatives.
Depending on
the time you can visit also
the stelae sites Tutu Fela (Tutu Fela is probably one
of the most impressive sites contain about 80 ancient stelae which are variously carved with facial feature, phalluses etc. indicating
the brave or sex
of the person buried underneath), Tututi (lies on
the hill 2. 3km from
the village
of Chelba. It consists
of some very large, tapering, generally un-carved standing stones with marking grave)
and Socoro Sodo stelae field. Overnight stay in Aregash lodge.
Day 12: Drive
to Nazareth
In
the morning after breakfast, you will drive
to Alet Wondo (25 Km from Aregash Lodge). On
the way visit
the fish market in Awassa where
the fisher man sell his fresh Tilapia, Catfish,
and Barbus whereas Pelicans
and Storks are competing
to take
the left over. You can also spot Black
and White Colbous monkey around
the Amor Gedele.
Day 13: Drive
to Harar
In
the morning after breakfast, you will drive
to Harar. On
the way visit
the Awash National Park you will see
the elegant Beisa Oryx grazing on
the savanna plains. Also Soemmering’s gazelle, Dikdiks, greater
and lesser Kudu
and Waterbuck can be observed.
the park is well known for its 460 bird species from which 6 are endemic.
Harar is an early 16th century eastern Ethiopian city was once an important trade centre
and is famous for its ancient Arabic structures, great city walls,
and the French poet Rimbaud's house. Harar is an Islamic centre with at least 99 mosques,
and is considered
to be
the fourth holiest Islamic city, after Mecca, Medina
and Jerusalem. Early in
the evening visit
the Hayena man. O/n stay in Harar.
Day 14: City
Tour in Harar
In
the morning after breakfast, you will visit
to the walled city
of Harar. Inside
the wall city visit
the museum
of the Harari National Cultural Centre which is designed like a typical Adare houses. Other interesting places are
the 17th century Jami mosque, Rimbaud house,
Birth Place of Emperor Haile Selassie Ras Tafari house. Enjoy
the nightlife. O/n stay in Harar.
Day 15: Excursion
to Gerawa
to visit
Harari Coffee
In
the morning after breakfast, you will drive
to Gerawa
to see
the best
of Harar
Coffee grown in forests south-west
of Harar. O/n stay in Harar.
Day 16: Drive back
to Addis Ababa
Last day in Addis Ababa make shopping
and visit
the missing from Day 2.
and late in
the evening check-in for flight back home.
